Rune Factory 4 Dungeons: Maya Road
Above Photo: A picture of the boss monster and its cutscene. ^^
**You’ll be able to access this dungeon early on (after completing the Leon Karnak dungeon, I believe), but DO NOT wander in there. You will be instantly killed… *-*
**It’s one of my least favorite dungeons because of the cave-ins (you’ll fall underground into another part of the dungeon) and the high winds that will be hard to run in/maneuver, AND the falling rocks. There are also SWARMS of monsters and it can be overwhelming if you don’t bring any monsters/villagers to help and fight. Also, it’s best if you do the dungeon in parts, because it is enormous and will take several in-game days to complete (it should, anyway, unless you want to get fatigued and catch a cold!).
**It is, however, a great dungeon for finding ores and grasses necessary for forging/medicine/cooking. I guess that makes up for the loads of monsters and its difficulty… xD
"Beware of high winds, falling rocks and cave-ins.
**Note: You’ll be doing a lot of running and dodging in this dungeon. It’s pretty good practice for the epic boss battle that’s coming up in the next dungeon. ^^
Recommended level: 65 (I’d say around 80’s-90’s, even…)
Entering here at too low a level could be fatal… (this here the games says, not me! So if the game warns you it’s hard, listen to it! lol)
Heracles, Hammer Troll, Hornet Queen, Blackbird, Planchoa, Airror, Green.
Beware of cryptids who can absorb non-elemental attacks. Magic and elemental weapons recommended!
**There are also monsters labeled “???” under ground, but they come in the forms of giant slimes, dark fairies, and ogres/trolls, etc. These are the ones that absorb your magic!
**Of course, you guys have heard me stress enough that you ought to be forging elemental weapons at this point and using magic! ^^ But yes, it is definitely required here to make it through. xD
**Important: Earth magic seems to work the best here, despite its winter-y look. You’d think fire would work best! But the monsters are all slightly more susceptible to earth attacks than the others.
Obtainable Items: Amethyst, Emerald, Aquamarine, Sapphire, Ruby, Iron, Gold, Silver, Green Grass, Blue Grass, Purple Grass, Indigo Grass, Black Grass, Yellow Grass, Red Grass, Orange Grass.
**Basically forging/cooking/medicine heaven lol xD
Boss: Fiergaenger (lvl 100)
**A clone of Fiersome, one of the four divine dragons. Is a small challenge because he gets up and flies around (leaving you vulnerable with nothing to hit for a second or two), but otherwise should pose no problem.
Fly- he’ll fly around above you and try to smash you underneath him. You can easily dodge this attack because it is slow and you can see his shadow and judge where he will land.
Fireball- he summons a bunch of fireballs close to him. You will be drawn to him too (like a magnet), so be careful!
Giant Fireball- sends one huge fireball at you.
Attacks (when weakened):
All previous attacks with more HP damage
Boss Drops: Fire Dragon Ash
